Time for Skis

Howdy!

Henry likes doing what Mom does. Plus it's just a fun picture.

So anyway, as I was saying, it's time for skis. Yes, it's still in the 80's every day, but we've had a couple of dustings of snow on the high peaks and the leaves are turning, so it's time to start thinking about snow, hopefully lots and lots of snow. We took Henry to the local ski shop to get him outfitted since we'll be taking him out on the slopes with us this year, and if all goes well, he may even have a few days at ski school. Here he shows off his new helmet and goggles, complete with tags (he wanted to keep them on).

And here he shows us his boots. Henry was VERY excited about his skis and boots. He insisted on clipping into his skis while we were still at the store. He pretty quickly realized they weren't very good for running around with the other kids. But ski boots didn't seem to slow him down much.

Do you like my boots?

Henry wanted to check himself out in the mirror.

And jump on the bed. Of course. Because that's what we do in ski regalia. For about 4 days after this, Henry insisted on wearing this getup every day after school.
