The Farm 2012

Hi there!

We made what's quickly becoming our annual pilgramage to the farm a couple of weeks ago.  We did all the things we did last year (cause they're still fun, even if you've done them before).  Henry spent a fair bit of time in the hammock this year, mostly completely rolled up in it.

The weather this year wasn't as absolutely perfect as last year, so we came up with some indoor things to do.  Like covering our toes in peanut butter...

And having Max the dog lick it off.  It felt kinda funny and Henry and Max quickly became good buds.

Henry got his ride on the tractor with Uncle Scott.  He also spent about 6 hours sitting on it when it wasn't moving, which is almost as much fun.

And if it's cold, it's a good time for a hot tub with twenty six of your best friends painstakingly lined up along the edge of the tub.  They all joined in later.

After all that excitement, it's time to refuel with a big piece of home-grown mellon.  Yum!

If you were ever curious what heaven looks like for little boys, I managed to get a picture of it...  Three dogs.

Did I mention Henry got to be good friends with Max?

Buds hanging out by the fire in the evening.

We also got to drive the gator (again).

Here's Henry doing some driving.

After helping fill it up with branches, he even got to use the dumper.

One of the neigbors was re-tiling their field (putting in drainage) and Henry got to sit in a giant roll of it.

Aunt Laurie got in on the action too.

The last day we were there it was much warmer and sunny, so Henry and Jamie got in a nice boat ride.
And we found this big preying mantis.

Some live action.

And we went for a boat ride in Uncle Scott's boat as well with Aunt Laurie.  We had lots of fun and a very worn out little boy at the end of it all.
